Cushions this weekend

Please support these lovely folk if you can!

17th August, Highcliffe RNLI coffee morning, Highcliffe Methodist Church, Lymington Road, Highcliffe. 10-12.30

17th and 18th of August at the Garlic Festival, Newchurch. The Isle of Wight Asthma Swim Group will be raffling their cushion on their stall at the Festival

Apologies to anyone waiting for a cushion!

I’ve had a very poorly old Dad who has had a difficult few weeks, and although I hate the idea and because he won’t come to us, he’s off to what looks like an extremely good care home tomorrow, nice and close. When he’s settled, manic cushion making and delivering will start again!

Feline Rescue, on the Isle of Wight…

..have had their coffers boosted by £125 by raffling their cushion at the local vets, and an event last Saturday.

BBC Radio Solent had an item last week talking about how animal shelters (particularly for cats) are being overwhelmed at the moment, so I’m so glad that a bit of fabric has helped meet demand, even though it’s just a little bit compared to the need!

Very stunned by the amount the cushion at The Clouds Hotel has raised!

One of my cushions has been lurking at Reception of the Clouds Hotel in Brockenhurst for a while, with lots of great folk buying tickets. After the cream tea on Sunday, it had raised £281 for the Variety Club of Great Britain & Jacks Place at Naomi House.

That brings the running total for 9 cushions on their own (most of them) or in raffles with a few small things to a whopping £1,005.50.

THANK YOU to everyone who has been involved in the Challenge so far!

Win a cushion this weekend!

Feline Welfare raffle (which has been going on for a while) ends on Saturday, 13th July at the Summer Fair in East Cowes at Holy Cross School, Millfield Avenue (between 10.00am and 13.30).

Sunday, 14th July, The Cloud Hotel in Brockenhurst have their annual Cream Tea in support of Jacks Place at Naomi House and The Variety Club of Great Britain. There’s a cushion waiting to be claimed there!
